Lapwing 2 - The Cove
Lapwing 2 is a flat on the first floor. It's in a new development called The Cove, just outside Brixham. It sleeps four people in two bedrooms and has one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The main living space is open plan, with the kitchen, dining area and sitting room all together. It's very light. The windows look out over the park. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher.
The best part is the balcony. It's large and runs alongside the living room and the main bedroom. You get a good view out over Torbay from there. You can sit and watch the boats. There's a table and chairs.
There's a communal swimming pool on the site too. It's shared with the other flats.
You're right next to Fishcombe Cove. It's a small, sheltered bay with very clear water. You can get down to it easily. From there, you can join the South West Coast Path for walks.
Brixham itself is a proper working fishing harbour. It's about a five minute drive or you can walk along the coast path. They've got the Golden Hind replica ship, the fish market, and plenty of places to eat seafood.
Within half an hour you can be in Paignton, Torquay, or Dartmouth. Coleton Fishacre is nearby if you like art deco gardens. For a bigger day out, the edge of Dartmoor or Totnes are both about 30 minutes away.
Facilities wise: there's parking on site, WiFi, and bedding is included. No pets allowed.
