The Lookout is a pod up near Torquay town centre. It's in a residential area, so it's not remote. You go through a gate from the road and climb some stone steps into the garden.
The garden is its main feature. It's up high, so you get a view of the sea. There's a hot tub, seats, and a cold water shower outside. Good for washing sand off things. There's a washing line too.
The pod itself sleeps two. One room with a double bed. There's a kettle and a toaster inside. The toilet is in a separate little shed accessed from outside the pod.
It's basically a very nice camping spot with a solid roof. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and clean, but the facilities are limited. You should know that.
You're a walk away from Torre Abbey Sands and the town. The marina has restaurants and pubs. For a bigger beach, Meadfoot is about a ten minute drive.
Brixham harbour is a 20 minute drive. Dartmouth is about 40 minutes. Exeter is around half an hour if you want a city. The South West Coast Path is accessible nearby.
Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's no parking on site, but you can usually find a space on the nearby streets.
