The Lookout is a pod in Torquay, in a residential area. You go in through a gate from the road and up some stone steps into the garden. That's the main space, really. It's got a hot tub, a seating area, and you can see the sea in the distance from up there. There's an outside shower with cold water, handy for sandy feet or washing a dog.
The pod itself is small. It's for two people. One double bed in the main room, with a kettle and a toaster. The toilet is outside, in a separate little building next to the pod. So it's like nice camping. It's got a 4 Star rating, which covers the quality of the finish, but you should know the facilities are basic.
It's good if you want to be close to town without staying in a hotel. Torquay seafront and the marina are a short drive away. Lots of restaurants and pubs there. The beach is close. You can walk the coast path from nearby.
Good places for a day trip are Brixham and Dartmouth. Exeter is about half an hour's drive. The National Trust has several properties and coastline in the area if you like walking. The English Riviera website has tourist information.
In terms of what's here: bedding and towels are included. There's electricity. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's parking on the street outside.
