Forge Cottage is up on Longmeadow Farm, which is our place just outside Shaldon in Devon. It's a first-floor apartment, detached from the main farmhouse. You get your own entrance and a patio area with chairs.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxury. The kitchen and living space are all in one room. The views look out over the fields towards the River Teign.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see sheep, some little Shetland ponies, pigs, and chickens wandering about. We're here most of the time if you need anything.
The beach at Shaldon is about a mile and a half walk down the lane. It's a nice village with a few pubs and a small zoo. You can walk straight onto the South West Coast Path from here. The Dartmoor National Park is about a twenty-minute drive. Exeter is roughly the same.
For things to do, you're well placed. Teignmouth is just over the river. Torquay, Brixham, and Paignton are all within half an hour. The National Trust has a few properties nearby like Greenway.
Facilities: There's a TV, parking right outside, and we include all the bedding and towels. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's also a shed if you've brought bikes. No pets, sorry.
