Forge Cottage is a first floor apartment on our farm in Shaldon. It's detached from the main house, so it's quiet. It sleeps two people, so it's just for couples.
The rating is 3 Star. It's clean and comfortable, not luxurious. The main thing is the view from the living area, you look right out over the River Teign. It's not a huge space, but it's fine for two.
You're on a working farm. We've got sheep, pigs, some small ponies, chickens, and goats. You'll see them about. The beach at Shaldon is about a twenty minute walk down the lane. There's a pub half a mile away, and a shop about a mile.
If you want to walk, the South West Coast Path runs through Shaldon. For a day out, Dartmoor is about 20 minutes by car. Exeter is the same. Torquay and Brixham are along the coast. There are steam trains running from Paignton and Totnes if that's your sort of thing.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a TV, bedding and towels are included, and you can park right outside. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. There's also a shared bicycle store.
A couple of useful links: for local walks and places, the National Trust Devon page is good. For the coast path specifically, try South West Coast Path.
