Seaspray is the end terrace in the row of Coastguard Cottages in Dawlish. The main thing about it is the view. It looks straight out over Dawlish beach and the sea towards Lyme Bay. You don't get a sea view like that very often.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms upstairs. They're all doubles. The bathroom is downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped.
The living area is open plan, with a wood burner. The bifold doors open onto the terrace. You eat looking at the sea. The terrace has a big table and chairs. There's a separate store at the front for bikes and beach things.
Now, about that terrace. The wall at the back has a long drop down to the railway line below. It's safe if you're careful, but you need to watch children. It's not a place to be careless. But that's also why the view is so good.
Dawlish is a traditional seaside town. The beach is sandy. There's a shop about five minutes walk away, and a pub and restaurant about ten minutes. The South West Coast Path goes right past.
Dawlish Warren is a walk along the coast. It's got a long beach, sand dunes, and a nature reserve. You can hire bikes there. The railway line runs along the coast here, which some people like.
Within about half an hour's drive you've got a few places. Exeter has everything you'd expect from a city. Dartmoor National Park is straight up the A38 for walking. Teignmouth is the next big seaside town south, with a pier. Powderham Castle is nearby if you fancy a visit.
The cottage has things like WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking.
