Haldon View is in Lympstone, right by the Exe Estuary. It's a semi-detached Edwardian house we extended a few years ago. It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is an ensuite on the ground floor.
You get good views of the estuary from the front upstairs bedroom and the living room. The garden is on different levels. There's a patio right outside the back door, then about eleven steps up to another bit with a table and more of a view. It's sunny out there.
The stairs inside are normal, not too steep. The house has a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a good standard.
You're at the end of a private lane, so it's quiet. The National Trust owns the field next door. It’s a two-minute walk down to the harbour. There's a village shop, a pub that does food, and a café. The train station is close, with regular services to Exmouth, Topsham, and Exeter.
For getting out, the Exe Estuary Trail for cycling and walking is minutes away. You can walk to Exmouth along the coast path, or drive there in about ten minutes for the beach. The Jurassic Coast starts there. For a walk on the moor, Dartmoor is about a half hour drive inland.
Facilities: there's parking for two cars, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. Sorry, no pets.
