Thorne Farm Annexe is on our working farm in Lympstone. It's for two people. It's attached to our main house but you have your own door and a parking spot.
It's an upside-down layout. The bedroom is on the ground floor. The bathroom and the main living space are upstairs. The upstairs room is nice and bright. It's been done up recently so everything feels fresh.
Because it's a 17th century farm, the walls are thick and the ceilings are low in places. The stairs are okay, but they're old farmhouse stairs so watch your head. The farm is near a main road, so there is traffic noise. We've put good shutters and curtains in the bedroom to help with that.
Outside, there's a seating area you can use. It's next to our garden. There's a charcoal barbecue there too if you fancy it.
Lympstone village is a short walk down the lane. There's a pub, a shop, and the train station. The train goes along the estuary to Exeter one way and to Exmouth the other. It's a good way to get about.
Exmouth and its big beach are about ten minutes by car. Topsham is just over the river. From Exmouth you can walk the South West Coast Path or hire a kayak. The Exe Estuary is great for birdwatching, especially in winter.
Further along the coast, places like Budleigh Salterton or Sidmouth are about half an hour's drive. Dartmoor is about forty minutes if you want proper moorland walks.
Inside, you've got a TV, WiFi, a kitchen with what you'll need, and a shower. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
