Raleigh Cottage
Raleigh Cottage is in Exmouth. It's a normal house on a normal street, about a ten minute walk into the centre and the seafront.
We renovated it in 2023. It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. Two of them are upstairs and share a family bathroom. One bedroom is on the ground floor and has its own shower room. All the beds are zip and link super king size, so you can set them up as twins if you need to.
The garden out the back is a decent size. There's a patio with a table and chairs. The kitchen is new and has a dishwasher and washing machine. We've put in an electric vehicle charger on the drive.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's been checked for quality and has everything you'd expect.
The beach is two miles long. It's sandy. You can walk there in about twenty minutes, or drive in two. The South West Coast Path runs along the seafront. For cycling, the Exe Estuary Trail starts nearby and goes all the way to Topsham.
Exmouth itself has the usual seafront things. Crazy golf, cafes, that sort of thing. The town has shops and pubs. The estuary is good for birdwatching, especially in winter.
If you want to explore, Budleigh Salterton is along the coast. Sidmouth and Beer are a bit further. Dartmoor is about forty minutes by car. Exeter is half an hour the other way.
