This is Coastguard Cottage. It's on the sea front in Dawlish, looking right out over the sea. It sleeps four.
There are two bedrooms, one bathroom, and it has a 4 Star rating. It's modern inside, clean and in good order. There's an open plan kitchen and living area.
The main thing is the view. You're up above the sea wall, so you look straight out over the water. The garden patio is right there, so you can sit outside with it. The wall at the end of the terrace is a big drop down to the railway, so it's not suitable for children. We can't accept bookings for anyone under 16.
You're about ten metres from the main road, Exeter Road. There's a handy store room for beach things or bikes.
Dawlish town centre is a short walk along the front. There are shops, cafes, and the usual seaside things. Dawlish Warren beach and nature reserve is the other direction. For walks, the path along the coast to Exeter is very good. You can follow the Exe Estuary trail.
Within about half an hour's drive you can get to Exeter, Torquay, or the edge of Dartmoor. It's a useful spot for seeing different parts of Devon.
Facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, all bedding and towels included. There is parking. No pets.
For planning days out, these sites are reliable: Dawlish Town Council for local information, and Dartmoor National Park.
