Beachside
Beachside is a terraced house in Teignmouth, about a minute's walk from the back beach. It's a tall, skinny, listed cottage from the 1820s. Three floors.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. One bathroom plus a separate shower cubicle on the first floor and an extra toilet. The stairs are the steep, winding type you get in old houses. The top bedroom is a king with a view over the rooftops towards the estuary.
Downstairs, the kitchen leads into a dining room with patio doors to a small courtyard garden. The living room has a big smart TV with Netflix and so on.
There's Wi-Fi. We provide bedding and towels. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. We don't allow pets.
Parking is a council car park a few minutes away. We give you a permit for that.
The back beach is shingle and sand, about fifty yards down the road. Good for a barbecue in the evening. The main sandy beach and the pier are about a five-minute walk the other way.
Teignmouth itself has the usual seaside things: fish and chips, amusements, an outdoor pool. You can get the ferry over to Shaldon. The steam railway runs along the seafront.
For a day out, Exeter is about half an hour by car or you can get the coastal train. Dartmoor is also about half an hour's drive. The South West Coast Path runs through the town.
