Nut Tree Farm is on the Ashcombe Estate, just outside Ashcombe village. It's a big place that sleeps 28. The main thing is, it's detached so you've got your own space, and it's got its own outdoor pool just for your group. There's also a bigger heated indoor pool and a sauna you can use a little way down the lane at the other farm.
It's thirteen bedrooms. Every room has its own bathroom, which is handy with a big group. It's got a 5 Star rating, which basically means it's well-equipped and kept in good order.
The estate itself is big. You can walk straight out into the fields and woods. There's a playground for kids, and a games room in the house. The facilities list is long. The full list is on the website, but it includes things like enclosed gardens, washing machines, and wheelchair access on the ground floor.
Down the lane there's an adventure centre. You can book things like quad biking or clay shooting for an extra cost. There's also a place on the estate called 'A Touch of the Wild' where kids can do bushcraft and things like that. The Ashcombe Village Club opens some evenings. It's a local social club, so the beer is reasonably priced.
Location-wise, you're about 20 minutes from the edge of Dartmoor. Dartmoor National Park is good for walking. The coast at Dawlish is about a 15-minute drive. Exeter is also about 20 minutes away if you need a city or the train station.
For other days out, you're within half an hour of a lot. Torquay and its beaches are to the east. Totnes and its steam railway are to the south. National Trust places like Greenway, Agatha Christie's house, are nearby. For wider planning, Visit Devon is useful.
We can arrange for a chef to come in and cook for everyone if you want. You can also get a supermarket delivery to the door. The nearest big shop is about three miles away in Dawlish.
No pets, sorry.
