This is Brook Cottage. It's in Dawlish, right in the town centre, about five minutes from the beach. It's a terraced house, so you've got neighbours attached on one side.
It sleeps seven people in four bedrooms, with two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and functional.
There are quite a few stairs inside. The main staircase is narrow and steep. There's another set of steep spiral stairs leading up to the top floor bedrooms. Just so you know.
The kitchen has a fridge, freezer and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a TV, WiFi, and a parking space.
Downstairs, there's a room with a daybed that makes a double. It has its own shower room. That could be useful if someone doesn't want to use the stairs.
Up on the first floor, there's a double bedroom and the main bathroom with a corner bath. Off that bathroom is a door to a small rooftop terrace with a table and chairs.
Then you go up the steep spiral stairs to the second floor. That's where the other two bedrooms are: a twin and a single.
You can have two dogs here.
Dawlish itself has everything you need. Shops, pubs, places to eat, a sandy beach, and the gardens along the stream. You can walk along the sea wall to Dawlish Warren, which is good for families. Or walk the other way to Teignmouth across the footbridge. It's about a twenty minute stroll.
Within half an hour you can drive to Exeter, Exmouth, or Torquay. For a day out, Haldon Forest is close by for walks or cycling. The edge of Dartmoor is about a 25 minute drive.
