Elodie Yurt
This is the Elodie Yurt. It's in Bishopsteignton, up on a hill near the village. You get the whole field to yourselves, it's separate from our house.
It's a proper 20-foot yurt, made from a single ash tree from the local estate. It sleeps two, with a kingsize bed. There's a wood burner for heat, and electric lights and power. The shower and toilet are in a separate little block just outside.
It's got a 3 Star rating. It's warm, dry and clean, but it's glamping. You're in a beautiful furnished tent. The bed is comfortable and there's a fridge. You can use the charcoal BBQ outside.
The village is a couple of minutes' drive down the hill. There's a shop and three pubs. The nearest coast is at Teignmouth, which is about ten minutes away by car. It's a nice old seaside town with a long beach and a pier.
For a day out, you're close to a lot. Exeter is about half an hour's drive for the cathedral and shopping. Dartmoor National Park is about the same drive the other way. The South West Coast Path runs along the coast here if you want a good walk.
In terms of what's here: all bedding and towels are included. There's parking right by the gate. You can bring one well-behaved dog. The yurt is all on one level, but the field is sloped.
