Ringslade Barn

Ringslade Barn is in Highweek, which is a hilltop village just outside Newton Abbot. It's a converted stable, Grade II listed. It sits in the grounds of the main house, but you have your own space. There's a large lawn out front and a proper enclosed courtyard at the back. The meadow through the back gate has a wildlife pond, so you'll need to keep an eye on children.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is smart inside with flagstone floors downstairs. The stairs are fine, typical for an old building.

The pub is about five minutes' walk away. Newton Abbot is a mile down the hill for shops and the mainline station. There's a beach at Teignmouth or Shaldon, about seven miles away. Torquay is a bit further for more of a resort feel.

You get use of a separate games room with table football, pool, a small table tennis table and darts. There's also a cinema room you can book.

Dartmoor is very close, only about six miles to the edge. Good for walking and seeing the tors. There are some nice villages like Chagford up on the moor, with good pubs. For a day out, Exeter is about half an hour's drive. Totnes is worth a visit for the shops and river trips. Plymouth is roughly 35 minutes away if you want the aquarium and the Barbican.

Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and an enclosed garden. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. Sorry, no pets.
