Lemon Cottage is in Bickington. It's near our house, but you've got your own space. The village is right on the edge of Dartmoor.
It sleeps seven. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's been refurbished, so everything's fairly new. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The front door opens into a space for coats and shoes. There are dog beds there. There's a wet room right by the door, which is useful for rinsing off after a walk or cleaning muddy dogs.
The kitchen is open to the living and dining area. There's a wood burner. French doors lead out to the back garden. The garden is mostly lawn with a small patio area that's partly covered. There's a hot tub out there.
Upstairs on the first floor there's a bathroom with a bath and shower, and a double bedroom. Up another flight of stairs are two more bedrooms: a second double and a small twin room.
Ashburton is about five minutes away by car. It's got some good antique shops, places to eat, and a bakery. Dartmoor is ten minutes away. You can be at Haytor quite quickly for walking.
For days out, Newton Abbot is five miles east, and the coast at Torbay is roughly a half-hour drive.
Facilities wise: it has the wet room, the hot tub, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. The property is wheelchair accessible at the entrance. You can bring up to two dogs.
If you're planning walks or trips onto the moor, the Dartmoor National Park website is useful. For other local attractions, National Trust Devon has good information.
