Ilsington View is a bungalow in Haytor Vale, on the edge of Dartmoor. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level, which is useful. You have the garden and the parking space to yourselves.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up recently, so it feels fresh and clean. The underfloor heating is good, keeps the place warm without any fuss.
The village of Ilsington is about a mile away. There's a shop there, and a pub that does decent food. It's a 20 minute walk, maybe a bit less if you're quick. It feels very quiet but you're only about four miles from the A38.
Hay Tor is two miles up the road. You can walk to it from here if you're feeling energetic. It's the main one, so it gets busy on sunny weekends, but you can't beat the view. The moor is right there, literally outside the door. You can just go for a walk.
There's a riding stable about five miles away if you want to go hacking on the moor. For families, the Miniature Pony Centre is about nine miles. The coast is about 45 minutes drive south, depending on traffic. Torquay or Brixham are the main ones.
It's got WiFi, a TV, a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed but I'd check fences if you have a real escape artist.
