Pond View Cottage
Pond View Cottage is one of four cottages here at Lower Elsford Farm in Lustleigh. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's been done up to a very high standard.
The cottage sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy. You get your own enclosed patio area with a barbecue.
The farm is 32 acres, so there's a lot of space. We've got chickens, so you might find some eggs. The views are over the moor towards Hound Tor. On a really clear day you can see the sea. There are two small reservoirs about a mile away if you like fishing.
Being on a farm, it's not totally remote but it is quiet. The nearest pub is about two and a half miles away. The village shop in Lustleigh is a bit closer.
On site, there's an indoor heated swimming pool and a games room. There's also a play area for kids.
You're right on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Good walking starts from the gate. Moretonhampstead is about ten minutes by car. Exeter is about half an hour.
Things to do nearby: the Dartmoor National Park site is useful for walking routes and weather warnings. The National Trust's Parke is about twenty minutes away.
Included: all bedding and towels, a cot, highchair, stairgate, and a welcome cream tea when you arrive. No pets.
