Scenery Cottage
Scenery Cottage is in Bridford, up on the eastern side of Dartmoor. It's a two-bedroom cottage that sleeps four. It used to be the village school, so it's an old building, more than 200 years.
You've got a kitchen with a dining table and a wood burner. The living room has a sofa and a TV. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. There are two bathrooms, one is en-suite to the double room with a shower, and there's a family bathroom with a freestanding bath.
The stairs are quite steep. It's a three-star place, so it's comfortable and clean, but it's not modern or sleek.
It looks out over fields. You can walk straight from the door into the lanes and onto the moor. The village pub, the Bridford Inn, is very close. It's a proper local.
You're a few minutes' drive from the edge of Dartmoor National Park. For a day out, Haldon Forest Park is about a 20-minute drive. They have walking and cycling trails. The Canonteign Falls are about ten minutes away by car.
If you want the coast, Teignmouth is roughly half an hour. Exmouth or Dawlish are about 35 to 40 minutes.
Facilities are what you'd expect: wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
