Cherrytree Cottage is on our farm. It's one of two converted stone barns we have. It's for two people, has two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, but honestly, it's just a nice, comfortable place to stay.
The cottage faces south. It gets the sun. There's a small garden that's just for you. You can sit out there.
We've got about 65 acres here. You'll see sheep and cattle in the fields. There's a fishing lake on the farm as well. Everyone staying here can use it. There are often ducks on it. There's a bench if you want to sit and have lunch by the water.
It's very quiet here. That's the main thing. You can walk out the gate and up into the woods or along the valley. The Teign Valley is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. In spring, the bluebells are very good.
You're not totally cut off. A decent pub that does food is about two miles away. The nearest shop is three and a half miles. For a big shop, you'd go into Exeter, which is about five miles. That's where you get everything. It's a good city.
Dartmoor is a short drive away if you want proper moorland walks. The coast, like Dawlish or Exmouth, is about 15 miles, so half an hour in the car.
Inside, there's a wood burner. We provide the wood for it. There's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a shower, no bath.
If you're looking for walks or things to do: Dartmoor National Park and National Trust Devon have good information.
