It's called Woodside, in Westcott. The address makes it sound like it's on the road, but it's not. You turn off the B3212 onto a private track. The lodge is at the end of that, next to our place. You're right in the Dartmoor National Park.
It's a one-bedroom lodge for two people. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's on one level. There's a shower room, an open plan living area, and a kitchenette. It's clean and modern. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine.
The main thing is the land. There's ten acres of old woodland out the back, with a stream running through it. It's completely private. You can just wander out there. You'll see deer, badgers, all sorts. At night, the stars are very clear because there's no streetlights.
You're two miles from a shop and a pub in Drewsteignton. Good walk from here to there if you want. The Fingle Bridge Inn is down there too, by the river.
For walking, you can pick up paths straight from the door into the Teign Valley. The National Trust woods at Dunsford are a short drive. Bluebells in spring are worth seeing. Horse riding is available locally, and there's a golf course nearby.
Exeter is about twenty minutes drive for a bigger shop or a day out. The coast at Teignmouth or Dawlish is about half an hour.
The garden outside the lodge is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
