Brameley
This is Brameley, out at Horselake Farm near Cheriton Bishop. It shares the site with a few other cottages but it's got its own private bit. You're on about ten acres of land here, with some views over the fields. It's quiet.
It's meant for six people, in three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy. The whole place has a 5 Star rating, which means it's well put together and comfortable.
The main thing here is the space. There's a heated outdoor pool you can use, which is shared with the other houses. There's also a games room with a pool table and a small gym. The kids have their own play area outside. You can walk around the grounds if you want.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, that sort of thing. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring dogs, up to three. There's parking right there.
For getting out, Cheriton Bishop is a mile away. There's a shop and a pub that does food. The A30 is right there, so getting around is straightforward. Exeter is about a twenty minute drive. Dartmoor is maybe fifteen minutes the other way. The coast at Dawlish or Teignmouth is half an hour’s drive.
If you're planning walks or trips, the National Trust Dartmoor site is useful, as is Dartmoor National Park. Castle Drogo and Fingle Bridge are close by.
