Discovery Cheriton Bishop

This is Discovery. It’s a converted barn here at Horselake, near Cheriton Bishop. We’ve got six places here, all named after apples. Discovery is one of them.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms, and both bedrooms have their own bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s comfortable and well-equipped. It’s all on one floor, which is handy.

The place itself has an open plan living area. You’ve got your own enclosed patio garden too. The main thing is the shared grounds, which are about ten acres. There’s a heated outdoor swimming pool that’s open in the summer months. There’s a games room with a pool table and darts. There’s also a play area for children.

You’re about a mile from the village shop and a pub that does food. The city of Exeter is about ten miles away for bigger shops and things to do.

For getting out, you’re right between Dartmoor and the coast. Dartmoor is maybe a 15 minute drive. For the sea, you’re looking at Dawlish or Teignmouth, which is about half an hour’s drive. There’s fishing on the River Teign, about three miles away. Golf is four miles.

A few local places people go: Castle Drogo, Fingle Bridge, and the Teign Gorge. Canonteign Falls is another one.

Inside, there’s a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. We allow pets, up to three.
