The Cider Barn Penstone

The Cider Barn is in Penstone, near Crediton. It's an old Devonshire longhouse, so it's attached to the main farmhouse, but you have your own door and driveway. You get a big private garden.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, all kingsize. One bedroom is downstairs next to a shower room. The other two are upstairs with the main family bathroom. One of the upstairs bedrooms can be made into twins if you ask beforehand. The kitchen and dining table are also upstairs. That's a bit unusual, but it's because the views are better from there.

The living room is downstairs. It's got a big sofa and a gas wood burner for heat. There's underfloor heating too. Outside, there's the garden with seating, a barbecue, and a wood-fired hot tub. You can rent a pizza oven if you want.

The property has a 5 Star rating. That means it's well finished and has everything. Bedding and towels are included.

There are footpaths from the farm leading into the fields. You can walk to the local pubs from here. Both do good food.

Exeter is about 12 miles away. That's your nearest city for shopping or the train. Dartmoor is maybe 40 minutes by car. The coast, either south or north, is about an hour's drive.

Facilities wise, it's got everything on the list: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, cot, highchair, stairgate. Parking for up to four cars. You can bring two dogs.
