Manor Cottage
Manor Cottage is part of Grattan Manor, just outside Bow. It's a wing of a bigger house, not detached. The main thing is the grounds. There's a big orchard lawn right outside your door. You get your own private patio area there.
It sleeps five. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. There's a wood burner. You can bring one dog.
The kitchen is well equipped. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's also a cot and highchair if you need them. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the cottage itself is on two floors with cottage stairs, so you'd need to check the layout suits.
There's a shared outdoor swimming pool in the walled garden, open summer months. There's also an all-weather tennis court you can use.
Bow village is about three quarters of a mile away. There's a pub and a decent shop. Good for basics.
The location is very central for Devon. You're about half an hour from the north coast and half an hour from the edge of Dartmoor. Crediton and Okehampton are the nearest proper towns for supermarkets.
For days out, there's a lot within 30 minutes. Dartmoor is right there for walking. The RHS Garden Rosemoor is near Torrington. Castle Drogo is a National Trust property. For the coast, Westward Ho! or Exmouth are within easy reach.
