Manor Cottage Bow

Manor Cottage is one part of Grattan Manor, which is just outside Bow. The cottage itself is attached to another building, but you have your own entrance and your own space.

It sleeps five people in two bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means everything's in good order and the place is comfortable.

Outside, you get a private patio area. It overlooks an old orchard with a big lawn. There's also a shared, outdoor swimming pool in the walled garden. It's open through the summer, sometimes a bit longer if the weather holds.

You can bring one dog. There's plenty of space for them to walk in the grounds. The grounds have a freshwater spring that's meant to be the exact centre of Devon.

Bow village is close. It's about three quarters of a mile to the local pub and a shop. Crediton and Okehampton are nearby for bigger shops.

Because it's central, you can get to north and south Devon coasts in under an hour. Dartmoor is about a twenty minute drive. There are plenty of walks up there. The National Trust has good information for that.

Other places within half an hour include Castle Drogo, the RHS Garden Rosemoor, and the Tarka Trail for cycling. The north Devon coast, like Westward Ho!, is about a forty minute drive.

Inside, there's a wood burner, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. The entrance and the main living space are on one level, which is good for accessibility.
