Grattan Cottage is detached and sits in the grounds of Grattan Manor, near the village of Bow. It's part of a pair, the other being Manor Cottage. You can book them together if you need more space.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well looked after and comfortable. It looks out over the old orchard, which is a big lawn with a few fruit trees left. You get your own bit of patio out there. There's a raised gazebo and a barbecue hut you can use.
There's an all-weather tennis court. The swimming pool is outdoors and shared with the other cottage. It's in a walled garden and it's open in the summer, sometimes a bit longer if the weather holds.
The village of Bow is about three quarters of a mile away. There's a pub and a decent shop. You're pretty much in the middle of Devon here, so it's a good spot for getting to both the north and south coasts.
Crediton and Okehampton are the nearest proper towns. Dartmoor is close for walking. For beaches, you're about half an hour from the north coast, maybe 40 minutes to the south. There's a lot to see. The RHS Garden at Rosemoor is nearby. Castle Drogo, the last castle built in England, is worth a visit. You can get on the Tarka Trail for cycling at Great Torrington.
Things here: wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
