Little Nymett North Tawton

Little Nymett is my cottage. It's part of our house, the thatched bit off to the side. The house is old, fifteenth century I think. The cottage is separate for you, you get your own front door.

It's for two people. One bedroom upstairs, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and everything works. It's got thatch, so the ceilings are low in places. Mind your head on the beam by the stairs. The stairs themselves are a bit steep and narrow, it's that kind of house.

Inside, it's one big room downstairs for sitting, eating and the kitchen. It's simple. Upstairs is the bedroom and the bathroom. The garden is yours, it's enclosed. There's parking right outside the cottage.

You're outside North Tawton village. It's quiet here, just fields. The local shop and pub are about a mile and a half walk down the lane. The pub does food. For a bigger shop, Okehampton is ten minutes in the car. That's your gateway to Dartmoor.

From here, Dartmoor is straight down the road. You can walk for miles. The coast at places like Westward Ho! or Woolacombe is about forty minutes' drive. If you want a trip out, Castle Drogo is near Drewsteignton, or you've got the RHS garden at Rosemoor. The Tarka Trail for cycling is up near Great Torrington.

Everything you need is here: bedding, towels, TV, parking. No pets, I'm afraid.
