Stable Corner Cottage
Stable Corner Cottage is on our farm, Lower Elsford, right on the edge of Lustleigh Cleave. The views are across our fields toward Hound Tor. It's a five star place, which means it's comfortable and done up nicely. You get fluffy towels and things.
It sleeps two people. There are two bedrooms, both upstairs, and a bathroom. It's good for a couple or friends. The stairs are steep, like most cottages here.
You have your own enclosed patio with a barbecue. The farm is about 32 acres. You can walk around, past the stone row and up to our rocks. There's a firepit for everyone to use, and chickens. You can help yourself to any eggs you find.
On site there's a heated indoor swimming pool, a games room, and a kids' play area. The whole place is very quiet.
The nearest pub and restaurant is about two and a half miles away, in Lustleigh village. The shop is five miles.
You're right in Dartmoor National Park. For walking, you can start from the gate. Haytor is a short drive. The coast at Teignmouth or Brixham is about 45 minutes by car. Exeter is half an hour.
For fishing, there are two reservoirs within a mile. You need a permit from the kiosk.
It's a working farm with wildlife. We've got badgers, deer, buzzards. The air is clean. The water comes from our own spring.
