Stable Corner Cottage is one of four cottages on our farm near Lustleigh. The farm is about 32 acres and it's right on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. The views from the fields are good, you can see right across to Hound Tor.
The cottage itself sleeps two. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's warm and clean.
Being on a farm, there are shared facilities. There's an indoor heated swimming pool, a games room, and a children's play area. Each cottage has its own enclosed patio with a barbecue. You're welcome to explore the grounds. There's an ancient stone row, a stream, and a firepit you can use. If you find any eggs from our chickens, you can have them.
The location is quiet. It's a proper working farm, so you'll see wildlife. Badgers, deer, buzzards. There are two reservoirs within a mile if you fancy fishing. Permits are available locally.
Lustleigh village is about two and a half miles away. There's a good pub there that does food. The nearest shop is in Bovey Tracey, about five miles. For a bigger shop, Newton Abbot is about eight miles.
The main thing here is walking on Dartmoor. You can step straight out onto the moor from the farm. Haytor is a short drive. If you want to go further, the coast at Torquay or Teignmouth is about a 30 minute drive.
Facilities in the cottage: there's a woodburning stove, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. Sorry, no pets.
