Fig Cottage

Fig Cottage is in Bovey Tracey, right on the edge of Dartmoor. It's one of three cottages next to each other in a courtyard. You've got your own small garden patio area. We live on site as well, in the main house. The place is in 10 and a half acres of grounds, so it's quiet.

It sleeps two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not huge. The main living space is all open plan.

There's a shop and a pub about a mile away in the town. Bovey Tracey itself is a nice little town. For walking, you can just step straight onto the Moor from here. You'll see the ponies. The river Bovey runs through the grounds. For a drive, Castle Drogo and Lydford Gorge are both about 15 minutes. Exeter is maybe 25 minutes if you need a city or the station.

In terms of facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. We have an electric vehicle charger you can use. You can store bikes. We allow one well-behaved dog.

The cottages are eco-friendly. We have solar panels and an air source heat pump, so the heating and hot water are from that.
