Acorn Cottage
Acorn Cottage is on our farm in Teigngrace. It's one of four cottages here, next to Oak Leaves. You're looking out over the farm, about 250 acres. We keep Charolais cattle. The river Teign runs along the boundary.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place. It's comfortable, but it's old, so mind your head in some doorways. The floors aren't always level. You get your own patio area.
The farm is working, so there are animals around. Kids are welcome to come and see the cows if we're not too busy. There are chickens wandering about, so you might find eggs. We've set aside a half-acre field for dog walking if you bring one.
You can use the outdoor swimming pool, it's heated. There are two fishing lakes on site as well.
The village shop and pub are about a mile away. For bigger shops, Newton Abbot is ten minutes by car.
You're well placed for getting out. The coast at Teignmouth or Dawlish is about fifteen minutes. Dartmoor is twenty minutes north. For a day out, Paignton Zoo is popular. The steam railway from Buckfastleigh to Totnes is a good trip. The South Devon Railway website has timetables.
We provide bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Parking is right outside. You can have one dog.
