Swift Cottage
Swift Cottage is a detached cottage in East Ogwell, near Newton Abbot. It's on a quiet lane in the owners' 17-acre grounds, so you get a bit of space. The garden is yours to use.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms, which is handy. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. Everything is on one floor except for one bedroom, which is up a short flight of stairs.
The main room is open plan: kitchen, dining area, and living space all together. It looks out over the garden and fields. There's underfloor heating.
The local pub is about a five minute walk. It serves food. The village shop is a mile away in Ogwell, or Newton Abbot is close for bigger supermarkets.
You're well-placed for getting about. Dartmoor is maybe a twenty minute drive. You can walk the tors up there. The coast at Teignmouth or Shaldon is about twenty-five minutes by car for a beach day. Torquay is half an hour for more of a seaside town feel.
If you like walking or cycling, Haldon Forest is very close. The cycle trails there are good. For a family day out, somewhere like Go Ape at Haldon is an option.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot and highchair in for you if needed. No pets, I'm afraid.
