This is Swift. It's a cottage on a farm called Newhouse Barton, near Ipplepen. It's not remote, it's in proper countryside but it's only about ten minutes from Totnes or Newton Abbot.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well put together. It's all on one level, so the access is good. The doorways are wide and there are no steps to get in.
The farm it's on is good for families. There's a heated indoor swimming pool you can book slots in. There's a games room with a pool table and table football, and a kids' play area outside. The whole site is traffic-free, so you can let kids wander a bit. You can bring one dog.
The cottage has a woodburning stove, which is nice in the evenings. There's a patio with a barbecue. It's open plan inside. You get a dishwasher, washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's on-site parking and an electric vehicle charger.
For days out, you've got choices. The coast is south. Places like Torquay, Brixham, and Paignton are about half an hour. For a nicer beach, Blackpool Sands or Slapton Sands are a bit further. Dartmouth is lovely for a wander around the harbour, that's about 25 minutes.
North is Dartmoor, which is 20 minutes to the edge. Good for walking. For a proper day trip, the National Trust has lots of places nearby, like Greenway. The Dart Valley steam railway runs from Totnes.
There's a shop about a mile and a half away in Ipplepen. The farm has a list of local pubs that do food.
