This is Glamping Pod 2. It's one of two on our smallholding in Dainton, which is a semi-rural spot just outside Newton Abbot.
It's a new, single-storey lodge built for two people. There's one bedroom with a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room. The main space is open plan, with a kitchen, a sofa, and a dining table. The sofa is a sofa bed, so it could sleep an extra two if you really needed it. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable.
You get your own small decked patio out the front with a couple of reclining chairs. The view is across our fields where we keep a few animals. We live on site, so if you're interested in the smallholding, just ask and we can show you around.
You can bring up to two dogs. We've left a portable dog wash and some towels out there for muddy paws.
Location wise, you're about four miles from the coast. There are good pubs and restaurants a short drive away, some do these big pies that are a meal in themselves. For walks, you can go straight out from the pod into the countryside, or drive to the coast path. The beaches along the English Riviera and towards the South Hams are within about half an hour.
For a day out, Dartmoor National Park is about a 20 minute drive north. Totnes is a 15 minute drive. The nearest beach is probably Teignmouth. For general planning, the National Trust Devon and Dartmoor National Park websites are useful.
Facilities are all listed, but the main things are: it's all on one level with no steps at the entrance, there's parking right outside, WiFi, TV, a BBQ, and bedding and towels are included. We have a cot if you need one.
If you're coming with another couple, Pod 1 is right next door and both pods can be booked together.
