Lavender
Lavender is above us. We're on the coastal road near Maidencombe beach. You have your own separate entrance through our main reception to get up there. It sleeps six, three bedrooms, and each has its own bathroom.
It's got a 5 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The views from the windows are the main thing, straight out to sea over the garden.
The garden is about an acre. You're welcome to use it, it's shared with us but we keep to our end. It's landscaped, lots of space.
Maidencombe beach is down the hill, about a ten minute walk. The path back up is steep. There's a thatched pub in the village too. Oddicombe Beach is also close. You can walk down a very steep wooded lane to it, or use the Babbacombe Cliff Railway. That's the funicular, it's been there for years.
Torquay is about two miles. The harbour, Living Coasts aquarium, and the shops are a five minute drive. For walks, you're right on the South West Coast Path. Babbacombe Model Village is nearby if you've got children with you.
Further out, you can get to Dartmouth, Totnes, or Exeter within about forty minutes. Plymouth is maybe an hour. There are National Trust places, like Agatha Christie's Greenway House. National Trust Devon has a list.
Facilities: there's WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher, and towels and bedding are included. Parking is on site. Sorry, no pets.
