The Downs
The Downs is a studio flat right in Babbacombe, Torquay. It's on the ground floor of a big Victorian house, so you've got neighbours above. You can walk out the door and across the road to Babbacombe Beach. It's a proper pebble beach with a green cliff. The seafront promenade is right there.
It's a studio, so it's all one room. There's a double bed, a small sofa, a dining table, and a kitchenette. The doors open onto a terrace with a table and chairs. You can sit outside and watch the sea. The view isn't totally clear because of the trees and the road, but you can see the water. You can hear it too.
It sleeps two, no pets. There's one shower room. Everything is included - bed linen, towels, WiFi. The kitchen has the basics: fridge, hob, microwave. Good for breakfast and simple meals. There are plenty of places to eat out if you want.
The local pub is about a two-minute walk. It serves food. Torquay town centre is a short drive or a bus ride away for shops and more restaurants. You can walk along the coast path from Babbacombe. If you want a sandy beach, you'd drive to one.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and modern. It's good if you want to be right by the sea without being in the busy town centre.
