Longcroft House is up in Lincombe. It's a big old Victorian house, built when they liked high ceilings and bay windows. It sleeps twelve, in five bedrooms. Four of them have their own bathrooms. The fifth, a double, has a sink and toilet right outside the door on the landing. There's a room with four single beds, which is handy for kids.
The garden is over an acre. It’s laid out with lawns and gravel paths. There's a terrace with a view of the sea. You can eat outside there.
Inside, the kitchen has a range cooker and a big table for twelve. There are a couple of sitting rooms. One is more formal, with the bay window looking out to sea. The other is smaller, with a TV. There's also a garden room off the kitchen.
It's a 5 Star property, so it's well-equipped and maintained. The stairs are a typical grand Victorian staircase. The doorways and rooms are wide, and there’s a ramp to the front door, so it's accessible for wheelchairs.
Meadfoot Beach is about a mile away, downhill. It's a proper beach with a café and the Osborne Hotel for food. There are shops and a pub within half a mile. A restaurant is about 500 yards away.
You can drive to Brixham Harbour in about 15 minutes. Dartmouth is roughly half an hour. For a day out further afield, Dartmoor is within 30 minutes, as is Totnes. The National Trust and English Heritage have a lot of properties in the area.
In terms of what's here: all bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, cot, highchair, and stairgate. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking on the drive.
