Seagulls Rest
Seagulls Rest is an apartment in Paignton, right on the harbour wall. You get a patio that faces the water, so the view is just the harbour, which is good if you like watching boats.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped.
The apartment is on the ground floor and the entrance is level, so it's suitable for wheelchairs or if you find steps difficult. Inside, it's all open plan.
Being right on the harbour, it can be busy in summer. That's the trade-off for the view. The local shop, a pub, and a restaurant are about 50 yards away. Paignton beach is a short walk.
For a bigger beach, Goodrington Sands is about a mile along the coast. It's good for families and has a water park. The proper coastal path is right there too if you want a long walk.
Inland, Cockington Country Park is worth a drive. It's a thatched village with a forge and big parkland. Brixham harbour is about a 20 minute drive, and Torquay is ten minutes the other way.
Facilities are what you'd expect: bedding and towels are provided, there's parking, WiFi, and a TV. No pets.
