5 Torwood Gables
5 Torwood Gables is my flat in Torquay. It's a duplex apartment for two people, made from an old school building. It's got one bedroom and one bathroom.
It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well-fitted. You'll notice the high ceilings and the original windows. The living room has wood floors, and the kitchen and bathroom are tiled. The stairs have carpet. They're fine, but they are quite narrow, like a lot of these conversions.
It's very quiet here, but you're right on the edge of everything. Turn left out the door and you're in the harbour area in a few minutes, with all the restaurants and shops. The Princess Theatre and the Fleet Walk shopping centre are just there. Living Coasts, the seafront zoo, is a two-minute walk.
For a beach day, you can walk to Torre Abbey Sands or Meadfoot Beach. The South West Coast Path starts nearby if you want a proper walk. Babbacombe Model Village and Kents Cavern are a short drive away.
Facilities: there's a small patio area, a washing machine, WiFi, and on-site parking. I can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
