Ranscombe House is a big old place in Brixham, built around the 1890s. It sleeps twenty, so it's good for a big group. Eight bedrooms, and each one has its own bathroom. That's the main thing.
The view is what you're here for. It looks straight out over the outer harbour and the marina, across to Torquay. You can sit and watch the boats.
The house used to be a guest house. It's in its own grounds, so you've got the garden and parking for quite a few cars. It's attached to our place, but you won't see us unless you need something.
Inside, there's a large kitchen and a big living and dining room for everyone. Downstairs there's a bar area with a pool table, Sky Sports, and some games. There's also a small snug if you want to get away from everyone for a bit.
You're a couple of minutes' walk from the harbour. The shops, fish and chip shops, and restaurants are right there. The pub is about a hundred yards away.
If you want to walk, you're on the South West Coast Path. Berry Head is a five minute drive. It's a National Nature Reserve and good for a proper walk. The beach at Breakwater is shingle, but it's close.
For days out, you're in the middle of everything. Torquay's about twenty minutes by car, with beaches and all the usual stuff. Paignton Zoo is maybe half an hour. Greenway, Agatha Christie's house, is nearby too, but you need to book the ferry. Dartmouth is about half an hour's drive.
What's here: all the bedding and towels, WiFi, Sky TV, a washing machine, dishwasher. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The garden's enclosed. You can bring up to four dogs.
