This is Samphire. It's in Brixham, up a hill in a quiet bit. The view from the front is the main thing – you can see right across the town and the harbour, all the coloured houses. You're up high so you get the whole picture.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is a wet room on the ground floor, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern inside, clean and straightforward.
The living room is on the ground floor and it opens out onto a balcony. There's a table and chairs out there. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or a dog. You can have one well-behaved dog. The kitchen and dining room are on the lower ground floor, which some people find odd, but you get used to it.
The town centre and the harbour are a walk down the hill. It's a proper fishing harbour, lots of boats. The fish and chips are good there. There are shops and restaurants about a quarter of a mile away. There's a pub 200 yards from the house.
For days out, Paignton and Torquay are along the coast. Paignton has a zoo and Goodrington has a water park. Torquay has the Living Coasts aquarium. You can get the bus from Brixham to all of them if you don't want to drive. Dartmouth is across the water, you get the car ferry from Kingswear. Totnes is about eight miles inland. Greenway, Agatha Christie's house, is nearby up the river. The steam railway to Buckfastleigh is worth a trip.
Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking on site.
