Samphire is in Brixham, up a hill in a quiet bit. It sleeps eight in four bedrooms and has two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which feels about right as it's a good, comfortable house.
The view is the main thing. It looks out over the town and the harbour. You can see all the coloured houses. The living room has doors onto a balcony. You can sit out there with a drink.
It's on three floors. The kitchen and dining area are on the lower ground floor. The stairs are fine, just be aware it's split-level.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you've got a dog. You can bring one dog. There's parking on site.
You can walk into Brixham town and the harbour. It's a proper fishing harbour, not just a pretty one. The fish and chips are good. There are shops and cafes, and a bus if you don't want to drive to Paignton or Torquay.
For days out, Paignton Zoo is very close. So is the water park at Goodrington. If you like quieter things, Greenway is Agatha Christie's old house, just over the river. The steam train from Paignton to Kingswear is a nice thing to do.
Facilities wise: it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
