The main thing is the view. You look straight out over Preston Sands beach and the bay. You can see Torquay one way and Brixham the other. There's a small balconette to stand on.

Paignton town centre is about ten minutes walk along the front. The beach is right there across the road.
Being here, you're in a good spot for the coast. The English Riviera is all around. Torquay's about four miles along the coast, Brixham is three miles the other way. Dartmouth is a nice day out, that's half an hour's drive. If you want to go inland, you can get onto the edge of Dartmoor in about forty minutes.
