The Wheel Loft
The Wheel Loft is in Lower Blagdon, down a lane off the main road. It's a converted barn. The entrance is through a big archway.
It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's done to a high standard. Everything is on one floor, open plan. The main room is tall, with the original vaulted ceiling. The bathroom has a bath and separate shower. There's a glass panel in the bathroom ceiling so you can see the old threshing wheels up in the roof space.
The kitchen has a large island. There's a wood burner in the middle of the room. The bed is at one end, separated by the room layout rather than a wall.
Outside, there's a private decked area with seating to the right of the front doors. You also have use of a shared sheltered entrance area with some chairs.
It's above another holiday cottage called The Horse Gin. You might hear a bit of noise from below, but generally it's quiet.
For getting out, the coast is about half an hour's drive. Dartmouth and Torquay are within 30 minutes. Dartmoor is a similar distance the other way. The South West Coast Path is easily reached for walking.
Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher, parking. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
