Edgecombe Barn is in Tuckenhay. It's a detached stone barn, one of a group of properties around an old paper mill. You're right on Bow Creek, which is part of the River Dart.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. There are other cottages here too, so it’s good for bigger groups if you wanted to book more than one.
You get a patio and garden. There's a barbecue, a woodburning stove, and parking right there.
The main draw is the facilities at the mill. There are two indoor swimming pools and one outdoor one. There's also a games room and a sauna.
The local pub, the Maltsters Arms, is about half a mile away and you can walk to it along the creek. They serve food. The nearest proper shop is in Totnes, which is about three miles away.
It’s a good spot for Dartmouth, which is five miles. Totnes is close by for the town and market. For the coast, Blackpool Sands is about a twenty-minute drive. Bantham, for surfing, is about thirty minutes.
If you like walking, you’re close to the South West Coast Path and Dartmoor. The National Trust's Greenway, Agatha Christie's old house, is a short drive away on the river.
Facilities wise: the kitchen has a dishwasher, there's a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
