Tuckenhay, Edgecombe Barn

This is Edgecombe Barn at the Tuckenhay Mill site. It's a detached barn conversion, sleeps eight, has four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The barn is part of a group of old mill buildings that have been converted. They're right on Bow Creek, which is a quiet inlet off the River Dart. It's peaceful. The place has a five star rating.

Inside, it's spacious. The main living area is upstairs to get the views. There's a wood burning stove. The kitchen has a dishwasher, there's a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding is included. You can bring one dog.

Outside, you've got your own garden and parking. The shared site facilities are the main draw here. There are three swimming pools, two indoors and one outside. There's also a games room, a sauna, and a kids' play area.

The local pub is about a mile away, you can walk along the creek to it. For a shop, you'd need to drive to Totnes, which is about three miles. Totnes is a market town, it's got everything you need.

Dartmouth is about five miles. It's a proper harbour town, you can get boat trips from there. The coast is close. Blackpool Sands, which is a good shingle beach, is about a twenty minute drive. For surfing, Bantham Beach is about half an hour.

For walking, the South West Coast Path is accessible from several points nearby. Dartmoor is about a thirty minute drive inland.
