Millers Thumb is in Tuckenhay. It's about five miles inland from Dartmouth, on a creek off the River Dart.
It's a two-bedroom cottage that sleeps four. It's got a 4 Star rating. One bathroom. You can bring one dog.
The layout is a bit different. The living room, kitchen, and dining area are all open plan and upstairs. That's where the main balcony is. It looks out over the stream towards the old mill. The bedrooms are downstairs.
It's part of Tuckenhay Mill, so you share the grounds and facilities with other cottages. There's an indoor and outdoor pool, a games room, and a sauna. Your garden has a footbridge that leads straight to all that.
The place itself has pretty much everything: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding is included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them, and a stairgate.
There's a pub you can walk to along the creek. For a shop, you'd need to drive to Totnes, which is about three miles.
Location-wise, you're well set. Dartmouth is a 15-minute drive. The coast at places like Blackpool Sands is about 20 minutes. Bantham, for surfing, is about half an hour. Dartmoor is also within easy reach for walking.
