Tuckenhay, Mill Stream
Mill Stream is a cottage for two people in Tuckenhay. It's on the Bow Creek, part of the River Dart. It's quiet here, and the view from the cottage is of the stream and the old mill.
The cottage has one bedroom and a shower room downstairs. Upstairs is the living area, with an open plan kitchen and dining space. There are two small south-facing balconies upstairs as well. It's a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well kept.
You have your own garden here, with a footbridge leading over to the main mill building. That's where the shared leisure facilities are. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a games room, and a sauna.
The local pub, the Maltsters Arms, is about a fifteen minute walk along the creek. It serves food. For shops, you'll need to drive to Totnes, which is about three miles away.
Dartmouth is about five miles. From there you can get boat trips on the river. The coast is about a twenty minute drive. Blackpool Sands is a good shingle beach. For surfing, Bantham beach is about half an hour away.
Facilities here include a washing machine, TV, and parking. Bedding is included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
