Tuckenhay, Mill House

This is Mill House in Tuckenhay. It's a detached house, right on Bow Creek, which is a little inlet off the River Dart. It's a quiet spot, mostly just the sound of the water.

It sleeps up to eleven people. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. The place is spacious, which is good for a big group.

The main thing here is the leisure facilities. There are two indoor pools and one outdoor pool you can use, plus a games room and a sauna. They're shared with the other holiday cottages on the mill site. It's a converted paper mill, so the buildings are old and full of character. Your garden has its own footpath leading over a bridge to the main mill area.

There's a pub you can walk to along the creek. For a shop, you'll need to drive to Totnes, which is about three miles away.

Dartmouth is about five miles. You can get boat trips from there. For beaches, Blackpool Sands is about a twenty minute drive. Bantham, which is good for surfing, is about thirty minutes. The South West Coast Path is easily accessible for walks. Dartmoor is about half an hour away if you fancy a change.

In terms of facilities, the house has pretty much everything: WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, woodburning stove. Bedding is included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring one dog.
