This is Milbourn Cottage, in Tuckenhay. It's one of a few cottages on the old mill site here on Bow Creek, which is a little inlet off the River Dart. It's quiet and green. You're about five miles inland from Dartmouth.
The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped. The kitchen has a dishwasher and there's a washing machine. Bedding is included, and we can provide a cot and highchair.
There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. Outside, there's an enclosed garden or patio with a BBQ, and parking right there.
Being on the mill site means you get to use the leisure facilities. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a games room, a sauna, and a kids' play area. You can walk to them from the cottage.
There's a riverside inn you can walk to for food. A village shop is about three and a half miles away in Stoke Fleming. For a bigger shop, Totnes is three miles and Dartmouth is five.
For beaches, Blackpool Sands is about a 20 minute drive. Bantham, which is good for surfing, is about half an hour. The South West Coast Path is easily accessible from several points. Dartmoor is about a 30 minute drive for walking.
If you're interested in boats, the River Dart is there for sailing or boat trips. There are National Trust places nearby, like Greenway. Golf and horse riding are available locally.
One well-behaved dog is welcome. The stairs inside are typical cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep.
