Garden Cottage
Garden Cottage is in Harbertonford, Devon. It's a small barn conversion on a farm. The farm is a dairy, so you'll see and hear cows sometimes. The lane to get here is single-track.
It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower. The stairs are fairly steep, typical for a barn.
The main room has a high ceiling with wooden beams. The conservatory is a nice spot. It looks out over the enclosed garden, which is just for you. You can park right outside.
You can bring one dog. We include bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if you need them.
Harbertonford village is about a mile away. It has a small shop and post office. The pub in Moreleigh, also about a mile, does good food. Totnes is three miles. It's got interesting shops and a market on Fridays.
The coast is about a 20 minute drive. Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands are good beaches. Dartmouth is a bit further, maybe 25 minutes. You can get boat trips on the river from there.
For a day out, Dartmoor National Park is about four miles away. Woodlands theme park is a similar distance if you have children. Torquay, Paignton and Brixham are all within a 30 minute drive.
