Hope Cottage
Hope Cottage is one of a little row of terraces in Brownston. It's ours, but it's part of the Colmer Estate, so you get to use all their grounds and facilities while you're here.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is about right. It's comfortable and clean, but not high-end. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep and narrow.
Downstairs is all one room: kitchen, dining table, and sitting area. It has the original stone fireplace. Out the back, there's a lawned area that leads straight into the estate's 28 acres of woods and meadows. At the front, there's a private, enclosed courtyard with a BBQ. It's fully fenced, so dogs can't get out.
Being on the estate means you can use the outdoor pool in summer and the indoor pool year-round. There's also a tennis court and a fishing lake on site.
For the beach, you're looking at about a 20 minute drive. Kingsbridge is close for shops and pubs. If you want to go further, Salcombe, Dartmouth, and the South Devon coast are all within half an hour.
What's here: WiFi, TV, washing machine, parking for one car. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
