Beacon Cottage
Beacon Cottage is a detached house at the top of Ivybridge. It's two minutes from the Dartmoor National Park boundary. It's got three bedrooms and sleeps five.
The main thing is the view. You look out over farmland all the way to the sea at Mothercombe. It's a big, light space. The living room has an open fire.
The kitchen has an Aga for winter. It also has a regular electric cooker and an induction hob, so you can use what you're comfortable with.
The back gate opens directly onto Dartmoor. That's the start of the Two Moors Way. You can walk for miles from the doorstep. There's beach gear and some garden games in the garage if you need them.
Ivybridge is about a mile away. It's got supermarkets, a few shops, and a leisure centre with a pool. The train station is there too, with links to Plymouth.
You can drive to a couple of good beaches in under 20 minutes. Bigbury-on-Sea has the tractor out to Burgh Island at low tide. There's a local riding stables a couple of miles away.
Plymouth is about 20 minutes by car for the Barbican, the Hoe, and all the rest. Totnes, for the market and the shops, is about half an hour.
Facilities are all there: parking, wifi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
