The Coach House
The Coach House is a one-bedroom barn conversion just outside South Brent. It's detached, so it's just you and the property. It sleeps two.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up well inside, everything's clean and modern. The shower is a walk-in one. It's open plan downstairs.
The big thing here is the location. You're right on the edge of Dartmoor. The owner's land leads straight out onto open moor, no need to drive anywhere to start walking. There are lots of good circular walks from the village, including up to the Avon Dam. If you've got a dog, that's ideal. There's also an outdoor kennel available.
South Brent village is about a mile away. It's got a few pubs that do food, a coffee shop, a deli, and a small supermarket. You've got everything you need there. There's a local pub within walking distance too, though it's a bit of a stroll.
Getting onto the A38 is very quick, about five minutes in the car. That makes it easy to get to places. Totnes is about 15 minutes one way, Plymouth about 25 minutes the other. The south coast beaches, like those around Salcombe, are within half an hour.
Facilities: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. It has underfloor heating, which is included. There's parking right outside. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's a patio area with furniture.
