Lavender Cottage is on the edge of Buckfastleigh. It's a terraced cottage, end of a row. You get a small enclosed garden at the back. It's quiet, looks out onto a lane.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. The washing machine is in a cupboard under the stairs, so you have to stoop a bit to get to it.
There's a wood burner in the living room. We leave some logs for you to start with. There's a patio heater for the garden too. The second bathroom is just a shower room, really. It's downstairs next to the utility cupboard.
Buckfastleigh has the basics. A Co-op, a few pubs, a pharmacy. The Buckfast Abbey is about a ten minute walk from the cottage. The gardens are pleasant. The steam railway station is just down the road too, if you fancy a trip to Totnes.
You're right on the edge of Dartmoor. It's about a five minute drive to the proper moorland for walks. The Dartmoor National Park site has good walking routes. For a change, the South Devon coast at Torquay or Brixham is about half an hour's drive.
Inside, there's a games room in the converted garage. It has a table tennis table and some board games. Everything on the facilities list is there. We allow up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included.
